Quirine qualified in 2013 from Ghent University of Veterinary Medicine and has since gained extensive experience at Veterinair Centrum Someren, Putlands Veterinary Surgery, Newnham Court Equine Clinic and Alan Dunlop (Balloo Vets).
As a full-time veterinary surgeon in the business, she is passionate about general practice, emergencies, foals, podiatry and laminitis. She is also a member of the team of vets at Downpatrick and Down Royal racecourse.
Outside of work, Quirine shares Betty Confetti’s love for food and walks and enjoys hyrox, scuba diving, spinning, horse riding and traveling.
Edwina, a Belfast/Comber local, qualified in 1990 from the University of Liverpool with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She then pursued a large animal internship and equine medicine residency at North Carolina State University (1990-1993).
For nearly three decades, she was the owner and president of Stars & Bars Equine Inc. in Southern Pines, North Carolina, USA (1993-2021). She has a passion for poor performance and lameness issues.
Outside of work, Edwina enjoys road and mountain cycling, horse riding, hiking and all things personal training.
Carrie qualified in 2023 from the University of Liverpool and began her veterinary career in Armagh, working as a mixed vet. It was there that she realised that her real passion is the equine side of
veterinary work.
Over the past two years, Carrie has thrived on the challenges of equine practice, from handling emergency cases such as wound stitch-ups and colics, to working with foals throughout the breeding season.
When she’s not in the yard or on call, you’ll find Carrie enjoying the outdoors — walking her two dogs, Eddie and Skylar, running, and hiking.
Betty is always ready to bring a smile to everyone she meets. She loves riding along in Quirine's truck and greeting clients with enthusiasm.
When she's off duty, Betty enjoys her three favourite things: food, walks, and sleeping—in no particular order!
